We went for the afternoon tea yesterday, it was amazing the staff were really warm and welcoming there was a brilliant atmosphere in there great music, and fantastic food. The fish and chips are to die for the sausage roll was lovely too all in all the whole experience was fantastic. It was very busy so I would recommend you book a table.

Food wasnt to the standard I expected, hot drinks were cold even after complaining they still came cold... when they did eventually bring them!, area we were sat in felt grubby, menus that came were dirty, had to send a cake back because there was a hair on it, service externally poor... had great hopes for my birthday afternoon tea very disappointed..
Wow this place has come in heaps and bounds in the last 6 month, if you have stopped going because of the rude arrogant man he has now gone! Service was with a smile nobody could do enough for us. The food was top notch especially the meatballs and the mini roasties thank you the fox for making our special occasion perfect
Came here with two of my friends who were visiting me from down south. Booked to have the late autumn afternoon tea for my birthday.The pros - staff were nice and very attentive. The picnic table was nicely presented. Cons - food did not taste homemade.. it tasted like it was shop bought. We were missing scones which were part of the menu..We asked for 3 teas.. for 3 people, only received 2 It was really small and not really worth the 60 we paid... (+ 3 service charge) It was 19.95 per person.. should have been 10.. bit of a disappointment but giving it 2 stars because the staff were lovely.
